KITTY YARD

Getting started

Four pages, a few small habits. Get to know your cats at your own pace.

01

First steps

Follow the introduction and choose to continue for free or view the full collection offer. After setup, save a water or main-meal record, or actually read authorized health data, to trigger your first meeting. Existing collections and pinned companions are kept.

02

Today and records

Use the water and meal buttons on Today to log your own habits. Tap a cat to greet it and stroke it in any direction to let it rest. Drags inside the cat window are used for interaction; start outside the window when you want to scroll.

03

Cats and collection

There is one main visitor each day, influenced by previous-day records. A cat is collected only after you actually see it. With no record, ordinary encounters are still possible. Do not drink or eat more just to collect cats. Open a collected card to tilt it and turn it over.

04

Pinned company

A pinned companion remains your choice across visits and restarts. New visitors and browsing the collection do not replace it. Choose to return to automatic visitors when you want a different daily companion.

05

Biscuit

Biscuit shows real daily records, the reason for a visitor and seven-day feedback. You can also view tomorrow’s meeting preferences. A missing log does not mean you skipped water or food, and missing health data does not prevent ordinary encounters.

06

Reminders

Check the reminder schedule in the app menu and the system notification permission for KittyYard. Focus and notification summaries can affect when you see a notification. Basic meal and water reminders repeat daily. Saved water records reaching the goal stop the rest of today’s water reminders; they resume tomorrow. Meal logging cancels the matching follow-up. Conditional follow-ups are scheduled ahead for a limited window and renewed when you open the app.

07

Apple Health

Check for recent samples and KittyYard’s read permissions in Apple Health. The app reads only sleep, heart rate, resting heart rate and respiratory rate; authorization does not guarantee readable data. The app updates on opening, returning to the foreground and sample changes while in the foreground. You can disconnect or revoke permissions. Sleep affecting companion style is a separate option, off by default. Heart and respiratory rates do not set cat rarity.

08

Backup and deletion

Export a local backup of records and collection from Settings, keep the file yourself, and import it to merge on another device. There is no developer-run cloud sync. Backups exclude health samples, health permissions and purchase rights. Restoring purchases does not restore habit records. Save a backup before clearing data. Clearing the app does not delete original Apple Health samples or copies of exported files.

09

Purchases and restore

The free pool has 10 cats. One purchase permanently unlocks the full 32-cat pool, with no subscription; cats still need to be met before collection. Use the App Store account used for the purchase, connect to the internet and select Restore Purchases on the full collection page. If it still fails, email your device and app versions and the message shown. Apple handles payments and refund requests; check the system purchase sheet for the final price.
